HFRN CommandPoint XL is a Microsoft® Windows® and Linux based Situational Awareness application that aids commanders in the operational theatre. Battlefield Situational Awareness data, which includes the positions of Friendly Units, Neutral Points, Hostile Points and Military Operations Other Than War or Counter Insurgence Points, are displayed to the operator.
CommandPoint XL also provides the capability to send and receive Text messages, File Transfers, Emails and Forms between radio stations using 3rd Generation HF transmission protocols (STANAG 4538).
The HFRN MessagePoint application is a Microsoft® Windows® and Linux based software application that provides a capability to send and receive Text messages, File Transfers, Voice Notes and E-mails between Radio Stations using 3rd Generation HF transmission protocols (STANAG 4538). HFRN MessagePoint optimises data throughput by using an adaptive over-the-air protocol, with built-in compression and resumption capability.

Email is supported via the POP3 & SMTP interfaces. Users can compose emails using well known email clients such as Microsoft®Outlook®and Thundebird™. HFRN MessagePoint will ensure they get delivered accurately to other users on the radio network.
