Reutech Communications specialises in advanced Military Secure Communication Systems for Airborne, Maritime and Land based applications operating in the HF, VHF and UHF frequency bands.

Established in 1968, Reutech Communications is a division of Reutech (Pty) Ltd, which is owned by Reunert Limited, a JSE listed company in the electronics and electrical engineering sectors.


Capabilities include design, development, product customisation and manufacture to military standards.  Full product life cycle support packages are also offered to suit individual customer requirements.

Other capabilities include joint development partnerships and transfer of technology ensuring local indigenisation and in country support.


The new generation communication systems, comprises of wideband software defined combat net radios (CNR). A user definable cryptographic module provides full autonomy for both encryption and hopping algorithms.

Other features include embedded data link capability, enabling network centric warfare and radio management software providing easy network communication planning and channel management. Typical applications include command and control, situational awareness virtual radar, forward observation link and messaging services.


Reutech Communications is certified to ISO 9001 by TÜV SÜD. The quality managment system enables the organisation to meet and maintain Stringent military standards.


Reutech Communications is a LEVEL 1 BBBEE contributor and strategic private public partner (PPP) to the South African National Defence Force. The Company is also an approved supplier to many international customers and OEM’s.
